What We Do - in a Nutshell: We offer E-books, audio books -
essentially anything that can be put on CD or DVD. Though based in
Thailand, we can market anywhere. A digital version of a book requires its own
ISBN's - separate from the printed book's ISBN. That's one of several services
on offer. Last time we checked, our Adventure1 portal had a Google rating
of 5.
Submission Parameters: We lean toward original upbeat material, with an emphasis on non-fiction, well-researched, scientific, environmental, how-to, newsworthy, exposee, first hand experiences, real-life exploration, and humor - see chart below.
We're open to the following publishable items - but it's not an exclusive list, so you're welcome to surprise us (!) with something we haven't mentioned:

Audio Books: We can do in-house recording
and production. Note: audio-books can be
assigned a different ISBN than the text version
of same book. If the author grants permission
to someone else do an audio version of his/her
book, then that could be a viable
stand-alone publication. Music and/or Video submissions. Must be original - on CD or DVD format, printed lyrics or script sheet included. Software - computer games - essentially anything that can be put on a computer disk - can be submitted. Compilations. example: book with CD |

What we're not open to; anything illegal, pirated, insipid, or preaching -
GUIDELINES: Before submitting anything, email with an outline [see details . Don't send attachments. Within the text of your email, articulate the following - one paragraph for each item numbered below. If we're interested, we'll arrange how best to submit - on a case by case basis.
About you: Not a resume, but rather a bit about your background and experience. What is your expertise as it applies to your project? If we're open to accepting your project, we'll get additional details later on. Don't forget your email address.
What you're offering: Without too much of a sales pitch, tell us about your project. If it's a work-in-progress, mention how far along it is. Include a mention of collaborators, illustrators, and any others involved.
Technicalities: Does your project already have an ISBN, and if so, is it one that you assigned - or someone else? Is your project already on disk - if so,what format? Has it already been in bookstores or advertised on the internet? If so, what's its URL?
The competition: What are we up against? Include specifics about similar items already in the marketplace. How is yours unique or better?
Getting the word out:
It's not a requirement, but it's useful to know what you are
willing to do to promote your item. Articulate about possible
book/publicity tours, marketing ideas, sending out review copies and such.
You know the saying, "nothing ventured, nothing gained" ....and it's so true. However, you should know that, if we at Adventure1 don't take on your project, it's only a measure of our limited view. Your publication may be very viable, but more appropriate for another venue. Theodor Seuss Geisel, the man better known as Dr. Seuss, was turned down numerous times before he finally found the right publisher - and there are many such stories proving that perseverance is a key component of attaining what you want.
